For organizations planning to migrate an existing Trend Micro Activation Code (AC) to a TXOne License Key (LK), please take note of these important things:

Managed Scenario
Starting with version 3.1 Patch 1, TXOne Stellar series now officially supports license type conversion, allowing users to change from a Trend Micro Activation Code (AC) to a TXOne License Key (LK) through StellarOne.

Step 1: Migrating StellarOne to Version 3.1 Patch 1 (or later)

  • First, organizations must upgrade their StellarOne to version 3.1 Patch 1 or later. The latest StellarOne firmware can be downloaded from https://my.txone.com/.
  • The StellarOne migration to version 3.1 Patch 1 or later can be done by firmware upgrade on the StellarOne web console.
  • Please refer to the chapter titled “Upgrade” in the StellarOne Installation Guide for more details and supported migration paths.

Step 2: Applying the TXOne License

  • The TXOne License Key can be entered into StellarOne directly if the Internet is available for license check.
  • In an air-gapped environment, the TXOne License File can be downloaded from a delegated link and imported to StellarOne.
  • Please refer to the chapter titled “License” in the StellarOne Administration Guide for more details.

Step 3: Upgrading the Stellar Agent

  • Though StellarOne provides backward compatibility to support agents with earlier versions, new features or enhanced functionality may not be applicable on agents with earlier versions. Therefore, it is highly recommended to upgrade existing Stellar agents to a newer version to experience new management and security features.
  • With the recent StellarOne upgrade, organizations can now upload the Stellar agent patch to StellarOne and remotely update the agent version during a maintenance window or planned schedule. The latest Stellar agent patch files can be downloaded from https://my.txone.com/.
  • Please refer to the “Patch” and “Importing/Deleting Agent's Patch” sections in StellarOne Administration Guide for more details.

Standalone Scenario
For the agents installed in standalone mode with no management server in place, users can download the Stellar agent 3.1 Patch 1 (or later version) from the download center and apply them directly. After applying the patch, users can switch licenses with the Stellar agent console.
