Summary
ElementOne version 1.32.0 has officially been released and is now available.
This release adds vPI device management and scan policy options, Safe Port employee authentication and custom workflows, and support for two log forwarding destinations.
Important Note
If you are using ElementOne 1.32.0, do not upload SAML IdP metadata due to a known issue in this version. ElementOne 1.32.1 fixes a related startup failure after upgrading to 1.32.0 when SAML IdP metadata had been uploaded in an earlier version.
New Features
Virtual Portable Inspector (vPI)
- Device Management
- Now supports renaming and removing vPI devices in ElementOne.
- Expanded Scan Policies
- Added settings for asset information collection, removable drive scanning, exploit detection, folder and file exclusions, file extension exclusions, and the number of compression layers to scan.
Safe Port
- Employee Account Authentication
- Added support for employee account and password authentication through an LDAP or LDAPS server configured in ElementOne.
- Custom Workflow
- Added support for collecting administrator-defined information, such as a ticket number or work order ID, before a scan or disk reset. This information is saved with the operation record and uploaded to ElementOne.
Log Forwarding
- Added support for configuring up to two Syslog or Splunk HEC destinations. Logs are forwarded independently to each enabled destination. A failure at one destination does not affect forwarding to the other.
Enhancements
- vPI Seat Limit Enforcement
- Syslog forwarding and OpenAPI queries now apply the same vPI seat limits as the ElementOne interface. When the licensed limit is exceeded, data from additional assets is not forwarded through Syslog or returned through OpenAPI queries.
- EULA Visibility
- The End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy are now displayed before activation.
