Recommended Action

Stellar series version 2.0 supports upgrading only from Stellar series version 1.2 and above. It is strongly recommended to take a snapshot or create a backup of the virtual instance file first before executing a system migration. For more details, please refer to installation guide.

Managed Scenario

  • For the deployment with management server, due to the operating system upgraded, migration via firmware from web console is not supported. To migrate StellarOne (Management Server) to version 2.0, please deploy new StellarOne virtual instance with the same IP address and attach previous instance's second disk (to migrate also transfer previously configured setting, account information, policies, and events).
  • After upgrading StellarOne, users could upload new Stellar agent patches via web console and upgrade agents remotely via policy

Standalone Scenario

  • For the agents installed in standalone mode and no management server in the place, users could download the new Stellar agent patches from the download center and apply patch directly.
