TXOne StellarOne Version 5.0 introduces the following enhancements and fixes:
Key Enhancements
- Discover Agent Support
- Introduced the Discover Edition of Stellar Agent.
- Asset Management Dashboard Enhancements
- Added StellarOne dashboard widgets powered by Vulnerability/Detection Source (VDS) data for enhanced security visibility.
- Threat Type Count Per Agent Widget
- Added a new dashboard widget that aggregates threat detections by type for each agent.
- Remote Emergency Stop Feature
- Administrators can now trigger an emergency stop from StellarOne.
- Random Distribution of Agent Scan Component Update Schedule
- Agent component update schedules are now randomly distributed across a one-hour window.
- Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine Support
- Added support for deploying StellarOne on Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines using VHD files.
Product Name Update
Updated agent names:
- StellarProtect is now Stellar Agent (Windows).
- StellarProtect (Legacy Mode) is now Stellar Agent (Windows-Legacy).
- StellarProtect Linux is now Stellar Agent (Linux).
Recommended Action
StellarOne Version 5.0 is recommended for customers requiring improved asset visibility, enhanced dashboard monitoring, expanded deployment support, and the latest security improvements.
Before upgrading:
- Review the Installation Guide for upgrade requirements and procedures.
- Create a snapshot or backup of the StellarOne virtual appliance before performing the upgrade.
- Ensure required component update URLs are allowed in the firewall configuration.
- Do not reboot StellarOne during the upgrade process.
